BIA Cares is the philanthropic arm of the Building Industry Association of San Diego County (BIA). To date, we have given $1.5 million to charitable projects and programs in San Diego County.
Our mission is to encourage and coordinate the efforts of local building industry professionals in charitable, community-oriented projects that help a diverse group of underprivileged residents throughout San Diego County.
BIA Cares For Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

For some, the ultimate measure of success isn’t what can be accomplished for a company, but rather what can be achieved for the greater community. The Building Industry Association of San Diego County (BIA) has always believed in giving back to others in need.
Today, the BIA represents more than 165,000 local residents who are employed by more than 1,450 industry-related firms – and is affiliated with both the California Building Industry Association and the National Association of Homebuilders.
BIA Cares exists to provide assistance and support for under-funded, and often under-publicized causes.
BIA Cares Makes A Difference
In 1990, BIA Cares was founded to involve local industry professionals in a wide array of charitable, community-based building projects. This charitable arm is governed by a special board of directors appointed by the BIA Board of Directors
Historically, the BIA’s commitment and contributions have been instrumental in significantly improving the lives of disadvantaged youth, and helping them achieve their individual dreams. Today, that reach is not limited to children.
