The Building Resources Council (BRC) is the gateway for networking, business development, member activities and industry education opportunities. Members can get involved in a range of committees that produce events and activities throughout the year including one of BIA's signature events --- The B.I.G. Awards Dinner (Building Industry's Greatest).

The Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) advances the discipline of marketing and sales professionals through education, networking and serving as a forum for the exchange of innovative ideas. SMC produces quarterly awards dinners and the popular Bull And Bear event.

The Specialty Contractors Council (SCC) is an active forum that provides its members with improved interaction between builders and trade contractors as well as professional education and a place to promote new products or services. It is comprised of specialty contractors and associates who wish to provide a service to builders, and builders who wish to be informed of the latest trends and expert advice of professional trade contractors.

The Public Policy Council (PPC) is a group of diverse professionals who address core public policy matters that affect the industry including water supply, infrastructure, zoning issues or global warming/environmental challenges. PPC members are interested in influencing the government outcomes of specific regional issues.

The Urban Council is a cutting-edge forum for industry professionals involved with redevelopment and building in established urban communities throughout the San Diego region. This council reflects the future of the building industry in San Diego.
