Local Advocacy - BIA’s powerful in-house legislative staff analyzes legislation and represents the San Diego residential & commercial industry at local jurisdictions. The BIA is the sole supporter of our local legislative program at more than $300,000 per year..
CBIA Membership - You’ll also receive membership in the California Building Industry Association (CBIA).
NAHB Membership - As a member of BIA, you’ll also be a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), one of the nation’s largest and most influential trade associations.
Builders, Associates, Contractors, Political Action Committee (BIA PAC) - During election seasons, BACPAC endorses and recommends business friendly issues and candidates to BIA members. The organization also assists with industry voter registration and candidate support as needed.
Industry Communications and Public Awareness - The BIA works closely with the media to ensure accurate representation of the building industry’s viewpoints on a variety of issues. BIA-produced newsletters, brochures and informational pieces also serve to inform business leaders, community groups and homeowners about the impact of proposed and current legislation and regulations that impact housing affordability.
