BIA launched an inexpensive program designed to help those members who are in transition as well as members who retired from BIA but want to stay involved with their local association. BIA has also opened the program up to Full Time Students.

Friends of BIA allows those that qualify the opportunity to continue to network and stay involved with their industry peers and by doing so support the BIA in turn. Friends of BIA is not a membership category of the BIA San Diego as defined by our Bylaws. Participants in Friends of the BIA do so strictly as individuals. Participants shall have access to all BIA events and meetings at the non-member price. They shall not be listed in any membership directory and may not hold leadership positions.

Student Friends of BIA are welcome to join the program to get involved through networking at events, Councils and Committees and mentor programs.

To qualify for Friends of BIA, participants should evidence that at one time they were employed by a BIA member company (anywhere in the State of California will do) and/or retired from a member company. Student Friends of BIA must show they are full time students with valid student ID.
