about project greenlight

This is a collaborative, member-driven effort to get development projects approved regionally ... and to get our members back to work!

PGL is a simple concept. BIA builders post projects needing government approvals, and BIA members that like PGL projects support those projects by writing letters or attending local government review meetings in person.

Approved projects can represent your next business opportunity and new jobs. Don’t wait! Sign up today.

If you sign up for Project Green Light alerts, you will be notified of each new posting/potential business opportunity via email.

how it works

Builder members post information about their projects and related government hearings/meetings, including hearing locations, date and time, plus a way you can contact the builders directly to get involved.

Builders need your support to counter-balance vocal project opponents. The elected officials deciding to approve or deny the project at various stages need to witness first-hand how important these projects are to your livelihood. Homebuilding employs hundreds of trade contractors and ancillary support specialists throughout the industry. People just like you.

Your San Diego BIA will be your networking facilitator but will leave project endorsements to you. As has been our tradition, BIA works exclusively on broad policy issues affecting all of us and does not advocate for specific projects.

public hearings

Don't worry, it is actually quite easy. But to ensure you feel prepared, BIA will host a series of training programs that gives you the basics so you are confident participating in Project Green Light.
