The San Diego Planning Commission will do a deep dive into the land use process when it convenes a housing workshop this Thursday. The goal is to better understand the barriers, impediments, and opportunities to increase housing of all types in the City of San Diego.
The City has been at the forefront of regulatory reforms as part of Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s Housing San Diego plan that include density bonuses, companion units and project expediting. BIA joins a host speakers in the fields of economics, fiscal analysis, development, project design, legal, and community participation to present various perspectives on the future of housing in the City. The hearing convenes at 10:00 a.m. at city hall.
