Council Approves Old Town Community Plan Update

By Matt Adams
One more plan update is in the books following the unanimous city council approval of the Old Town Community Plan Update on Monday. The new planning guide could result in a 150% increase in residential capacity if fully implemented.

It’s been 30-years between plan updates that is home to the Old Town Transit Center, Old Town State Historic Park, Heritage County Park and Presidio Regional Park. The Transit Oriented plan could accommodate a build out of over 1,400 single and multifamily homes within the 275 acre community. This latest approval brings the number of updates to 12 since Mayor Faulconer made community plan updates a city priority.
