BIA Cares Launches Backpack Drive 2019
BIA Cares will launch its Fifth Annual BACK PACK DRIVE at the Meet the Builder event on March 21st! This year backpacks will be donated to National CORE and Hope through Housing Foundation & South Bay Community Services. The National CORE not only supports local families with affordable housing but also provides social services onsite. South Bay Community Services provides a number of tools and services to the poverty level families in the Chula Vista area. BIA Cares is excited to contribute to their after-school program by providing backpacks & school supplies for these families.
A $20 donation provides a Back Pack full of school supplies for children in need. Each supply kit comes with a ruled notebook, folders, binders, scissors, pencils, markers, crayons, glue stick, ruler, pencil sharpener, hand sanitizer and pocket tissues.
100% of the donation proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks and supplies.
Last year “375” backpacks were donated to National Community Renaissance (National CORE) and Hope through Housing Foundation. As evidenced by last year’s give-a-way event in San Marcos for three housing communities, the excitement and pride exhibited by the student recipients was PRICELESS.
BIA Cares asks for your support in making the 2019 Backpack Drive a success!
